The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is pleased to announce $52.3 million in additional Community Care Expansion (CCE) Preservation Program awards to California counties. These funds support ongoing operations and preservation of existing licensed facilities serving residents on Supplemental Security Income/ State Supplementary Program (SSI/SSP) or Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI), including those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
These one-time additional funds for Operating Subsidy Payments were made available as a result of the Budget Act of 2022. To date, CDSS has awarded a total of $249 million in noncompetitive allocations to 35 counties.
